- Day 3

The final day starts with a short multiple choice exam on the principles of thread vein assessment and treatment.
It then proceeds with a few talks relating to the practice of leg thread vein treatments:

  • Keeping adequate records and photographs
  • Medico-legal considerations
  • Healthcare commission
  • Post-treatment care and managing complications
  • Equipment needed
  • Demonstration and discussion

Supervised practice on volunteer clients:

  • Delegates will treat volunteers with leg thread veins under the instruction, guidance and supervision of the course lecturer
  • Delegates will be expected to perform AT LEAST 3 successful treatments on volunteers with leg thread veins - demonstrating safe and effective technique
  • Certificates will be issued to delegates who are successful
  • Unsuccessful delegates will have extra training to assist them becoming successful.
