Part Two of the Thread Veins Course

Examination of  Veins Tuition

Day 3

The final day starts with a short multiple choice exam on the principles of thread vein assessment and treatment.

It then proceeds with a few talks relating to the practice of leg thread vein treatments:

  • Keeping adequate records and photographs
  • Medico-legal considerations
  • Care Quality Commission (CQC) which has replaced the Healthcare Commission
  • Post-treatment care and managing complications
  • Equipment needed

The Practical part of the course will then take place

  • Demonstration of thread vein treatment technique and discussion
  • Supervised practice on volunteer clients: Delegates will treat volunteers with leg thread veins under the instruction, guidance and supervision of the course lecturer
  • Delegates will be expected to perform AT LEAST 3 successful treatments on volunteers with leg thread veins - demonstrating safe and effective technique

Certificates will be issued to delegates who are successful.

Unsuccessful delegates will be offered extra training to assist them becoming successful, without further cost.
